Enrichment programmes- Part 2

Reference to my earlier post, here's my review of Kidmando

We have so far signed up 3packages with Kidmando (5sessions, 10sessions x2), pricing. One of the reason why we chose to sign up with Kidmando as we were looking for fun outdoor classes/ activities to train our girl's motor skills. We can see the great improvement over the months eg she is able to stand on one leg to do balancing, jump over, climb etc.

The class is about 45mins and will start off with some warm up exercises. The children will then proceed to do their obstacle courses which include balancing on the step pots, jumping or bending down over bar/ hula hoops, crawling through tunnel. After which  the children will do some treasure hunting. I find this activity is very good as the children will need to listen to instructions and they can learn colours eg find green/ red tail, yellow bean bags, hoops, balls etc. Different items are used each week eg butterflies, dinosaurs etc. On some session, the children will get to kick the soft ball into a small goal post.

The children then play the bunny games where 3 big hula hoops are thrown across the field. The children pretend to be bunnies will run to the hoops for safety and not get caught by the farmer (the coach). The hoops are removed one by one, the children while running will keep a lookout by not running into their friends and they are taught to share while inside the hula hoop.

The class end off with parachute game where they will usually sing ring around the roses, sleeping bunnies, five little monkey song. The children get their stickers at the end of the class and stars on their charts.

Coaches (Eve and Jen) are fantastic with kids and the activities are very age appropriate and engaging. Highly recommend this class.

Dancing Kids Singapore
We have also signed our girl for Mummy & Me Ballet - 18 months to 3 years old class with Dancing Kids Singapore. Teacher Jane is very energized and very good with kids, my girl love attending her classes each week. The songs are repetitive with slight tweak each week, the children are taught basic dance steps eg tip toe, lift their knees, galloping etc.

p.s. please let me know if you know of other drop-in classes for toddlers.

Love,
Sherlyn
